Radar equipment, defense and commercial communication systems, and instrumentation equipment all require frequency
sources that have very low phase noises and excellent stability over long distances. An OCXO oscillator uses a quartz
crystal contained in an oven-like device that maintains a constant operating temperature to avoid changes in frequency
and maintain precise accuracy.
